Martha Stewart Attributes This Nutritious Juice To Keeping Her Healthy Even At 83
Lifestyle icon Martha Stewart has set the bar high with her rigid health regime. Indomitable at 83, she accredits her health longevity to a special green juice among other habits that have kept her up and running irrespective of age. Stewart recently became the subject of the latest Netflix documentary, Martha, which covers the lifestyle tycoon's highs and lows while navigating the challenges with resilience and good health.
Martha Stewart spills the secret on her favorite green juice
Martha Stewart has often talked about her strict dietary standards over the years. Her staple is drinking green juice daily, which includes antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. In a 2020 interview with TODAY, the TV personality said, “Green juice drenches your body in a variety of plant nutrients.” The green juice, comprised of a mix of ingredients, has been effective in providing high energy levels and glowing skin, she noted. The recipe for Stewart’s favorite green juice includes a pear or apple, and spinach– dubbed as favorites by cardiologists along with cucumber, parsley, ginger, celery, and lemon.

In addition to the said benefits, she disclosed that this “healthy” juice also nourishes the immune system, per the source. "There are so many antioxidants in this juice,” she added. However, Stewart’s health regime is not limited to healthy drinks but regular physical activity like Pilates, getting up early, nurturing a positive body image, and having no regrets about the past. Stewart wakes up as early as 4 a.m. and intentionally cuts down on stress by channeling her inner positivity. Moreover, she is proud of her body and has embraced her flaws with time. “I might be a little fat here and there, but who cares?” she insinuated.
Who is Martha Stewart’s health idol?
Stewart, a self-made billionaire, has always looked up to her late mother, Martha Kostyra, as a health idol. She recalled her mother as “an amazing woman,” who never fell sick and appeared to be a great role model for Stewart growing up. “She was fantastic, she was swimming every day,” the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia founder told AARP in 2023. Kostyr passed away in November 2007. She was 93. Walking down the same path, Stewart became the oldest cover model for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at 83 last year. She told the outlet that her life has been devoid of health problems. She regards her good blood pressure and independence from medicines as fruits of her conscious and healthy lifestyle.
The mother of one claimed that age is the least of her worries. Stewart said, “Aging isn’t something I think about. How old I am, slowing down, retiring — I just don’t dwell on that.” In light of her new documentary, Stewart has resurfaced in the spotlight for her perseverance through her life’s greatest setbacks. Other than her divorce and her well-renowned legal issues, the famous cookbook author chooses not to regret anything in her life. She decides not to fixate on the things that went wrong and says there's "nothing major" she did in her life for which she reproaches herself.
