Anyone who has some Planters nuts tucked away in their kitchen cabinet is going to want to read about how Hormel Foods, the company behind the iconic Planters brand, is voluntarily recalling two of its products after becoming aware of contamination concerns. The nuts were shipped out to stores in five different states before the issue was uncovered, and now Hormel Foods is asking for the public's help in getting those foods off consumer shelves.
Here's everything you need to know about the Planters nut recall, including which batches were impacted, what states are affected, and what you need to do if you have some of the potentially contaminated nuts at home.

Symptoms of a listeria infection include:
- Severe headache
- High fever
- Nausea, abdominal pain, and/or diarrhea
- Stiffness.
