Sweet, sweet victory.

A wide range of mainstream ice cream companies have dipped their toes into the world of vegan treats, from Häagen-Dazs to Breyers. But just recently, plant-based food manufacturer, Miyoko's Creamery announced the release of ice cream on Dec. 7, 2022.

That's right — the company you know and love for its plant-based butters and cheeses is now offering vegan ice cream. But where can we get our hands on these delectable plant-based frozen treats, and when?

“... Miyoko’s Butter Toffee & Chocolate was born, perfect for the fall,” Miyoko’s Creamery founder and CEO Miyoko Schinner told VegNews, after announcing that Frankie & Jo's would be carrying the brand's plant-based ice cream. “We couldn’t be more excited about the outcome of this delicious flavor,” she continued. “Partnering with like-minded brands who are on the same mission to inspire, do good, and use plants creatively in foods is how we grow this community and create the future of food.”

"Say hello to our Miyoko’s Butter Toffee & Chocolate - made in partnership with @miyokoscreamery, this is one of the BEST flavors we have ever made, and we cannot wait to share it with you," Frankie & Jo's also stated in a recent Instagram post, as they will be carrying the pints in their scoop shops.

Where and when is Miyoko's Creamery ice cream available?

Miyoko's Creamery announced an exciting partnership with Seattle-based vegan ice cream shop, Frankie & Jo's, to make for the holiday collaboration of our dreams. According to The Beet, you can try Miyoko's Butter Toffee & Chocolate ice cream starting Dec. 1, at all three of Seattle's Frankie & Jo's storefront locations for the entire month.

But, if you don't live in the PNW, don't worry — those outside the city can order on Frankie & Jo's website for delivery.

This is the second year in a row that Miyoko's Creamery partnered with Frankie & Jo's to release this flavor. Last fall, per The Beet, the two brands put their heads together to release the same limited-time flavor. And clearly, its release was a success.

“After testing other vegan butters for a chocolate-covered toffee inclusion in our ice cream, we decided that Miyoko’s Creamery made the perfect version that was up to our standards,” Frankie & Jo’s CEO and co-owner, Kari Brunson, stated at the time.

The ice cream consists of a rich caramel base, with buttery, chocolate-covered toffee bars mixed into it.

“We reached out to see if they were interested in partnering with us, and Miyoko herself was able to taste the ice cream and give it her stamp of approval, and our partnership was born," she continued, per The Beet.

Miyoko's Creamery has made a big name for itself in the realm of vegan butters, cheeses, and more.

Though Miyoko's Creamery isn't necessarily known for its animal-free ice cream, it's been a huge name in the vegan world.

Last year, Miyoko's Creamery announced the release of the first vegan cottage cheese. The brand is also widely regarded for its spreadable and bake-worthy butters, which very closely resemble traditional dairy butter.

Though we wish Miyoko's Creamery would do a wide release of its ice cream, we're stoked to have it delivered to our doorsteps for a frosty holiday treat.
